Research and evaluation are central to the development and growth of Reboot Plus. Through partnerships with researchers, colleges, school districts and business organizations across the country, the program has been continuously studied to understand what works, how youth benefit, and how the model can be improved and expanded.

These reports provide evidence on participant outcomes, program implementation, and the broader impact of Reboot Plus on youth education and employment pathways across Canada. Findings help inform educators, policymakers, funders, and community organizations working to support young people facing barriers to education and work.

Reboot Plus Expansion: Program Insights and Learning (December 2025)

This report examines how the Reboot Plus model can be expanded and adapted across different regions and partner organizations. It highlights implementation strategies, partnerships with colleges, K-12 and community organizations, and the factors that contribute to successful delivery.

The report also identifies opportunities to strengthen youth engagement, individual employers / professionals’ involvement, and long-term program sustainability as Reboot Plus seeks to grow nationally.

Reboot Plus Expansion Interim Report (Blueprint, April 2025)

This interim report presents updated findings from the national expansion of Reboot Plus across multiple colleges in Canada. The evaluation examines program uptake, participant experiences, and early outcomes for youth aged 17–24 who face challenges completing high school or navigating career pathways.

Results show strong participant engagement and meaningful improvements in areas such as self-confidence, career clarity, and overall self-efficacy. The report also highlights growing employer awareness of youth as a potential talent pool and provides insights into scaling the program across different regions and institutional contexts.

Produced by Blueprint as part of the Scaling Up Skills Development portfolio, this interim evidence report analyzes early data from the Reboot Plus expansion across multiple delivery sites in Canada.

The report explores participant demographics, program experiences, and early outcomes, while documenting lessons about implementation and scaling. It provides insight into how structured career exploration, post-secondary exposure, and supportive facilitation can help re-engage youth who are disconnected from traditional education and employment pathways.

Reboot Plus Expansion: Final Research Report (Douglas College, 2023)

This comprehensive national research report evaluates the Reboot Plus program across five post-secondary institutions in British Columbia, Alberta, Ontario, and Newfoundland.
Using a mixed-methods approach, it highlights strong outcomes for youth facing barriers to completing high school and transitioning to employment. Participants reported increased confidence, improved communication skills, enhanced career awareness, and renewed hope for the future. The report also demonstrates the effectiveness of Reboot Plus’ unique model that combines post-secondary exposure, career exploration, and employer engagement and confirms its adaptability across diverse regions, with growing employer willingness to support non-traditional educational pathways.

Overall, the findings provide strong evidence that Reboot Plus is a scalable, high-impact model for supporting youth in building meaningful education and career pathways.
