Unlocking Potential: How Reboot Plus Helps Youth Build a Brighter Future

The journey from feeling unsure to finding a path forward starts with the right support. Reboot Plus is a life-changing career program for young people aged 17 to 24. It helps youth build confidence, explore career options, and learn new skills to prepare for the future. The program is hands-on and flexible, giving young people the chance to discover what they’re good at, meet professionals, and take real steps toward their goals.

Why Reboot Plus Works

Reboot Plus is different from regular school or job training programs. It focuses on the whole person – not just grades or job skills. Everyone in the program gets a personalized learning plan that matches their own strengths, interests, and goals.

More than just schoolwork, Reboot Plus builds confidence, emotional smarts, and social skills. Students learn at their own pace, in a safe and supportive space. Instead of just reading about careers, they actually experience them by meeting professionals, doing projects, and trying out new skills. It’s about helping youth believe in themselves and take charge of their future.

What Happens in the Program?

Reboot Plus runs for 16 weeks and is full of exciting, real-world activities:

  • Discovering Strengths & Career Options
Through fun workshops, projects, and self-assessments, students learn more about who they are and what careers might suit them.
  • Meeting Industry Experts
Students attend guest speaker events and do informational interviews to learn about different jobs and make professional connections.
  • Exploring Colleges & Training Programs
Visits to college campuses, hands-on workshops, and job coaching help youth explore education and career paths they may not have thought about before.
  • Creating a Career Plan
Each person leaves with their own step-by-step action plan to reach their career or education goals.
  • Ongoing Support
Reboot Plus helps with things like transportation and access to campus services (like libraries and gyms), making sure students have what they need to stay engaged.

Success Through Teamwork

Reboot Plus works in different communities across Canada because it’s flexible. Each location can adjust the program based on local needs, while still keeping the core activities—like working with employers, visiting colleges, and offering support.

Colleges provide helpful guidance, while program facilitators adapt how they teach based on what students and local partners need. Businesses also play a big role by meeting with youth, sharing their experience, and helping break down hiring barriers.

The Impact So Far

Reboot Plus is making a big difference:

  • Up to 90%of students complete the program
  • 91%plan to use their new skills for future education or work
